The Full Story

Vickie Tinker was a musician, beloved community member, and tireless social justice advocate.  Between 2018 and 2021 she battled advanced ovarian cancer.  She never stopped singing.  Written by Vickie and recorded by her doctor in her honor, RISE expresses the transcendence of community, love, work, grace, and hope.  “RISE is about not giving up when you’ve done everything you can.  You get up one more time.”  Vickie Tinker (5/5/58 - 12/26/21)​
